Salesforce Strategy For Shrewsbury Food Hub
Shrewsbury Food Hub is a volunteer-powered charity that stops food waste to protect the environment and strengthen their community. They collect surplus food from shops, manufacturers and farms and share it with local groups.
Based on our successful Salesforce implementation at another Shrewsbury based charity, we were approached to help solve a number of challenges. As the charity scaled, notebooks and spreadsheets were no longer enough to manage a more complex environment. It was decided that a Salesforce database based on its Non Profit template would be a great place to start. This foundation then allowed extensions covering managing volunteers, logging food waste data and providing real time management data through dynamic dashboards.
The implementation coincided with our recruitment of a Salesforce intern and seemed an ideal partnership to provide social good in our shared community. Over the course of the following year we delivered a fully functional database which is now at the centre of what the hub achieves. We are very proud to be a partner of what is a wonderful charity.
