Salesforce for Shropshire Community Foundation
Shropshire Community Foundation (SCF) champions local giving by connecting donors with community needs across the county. They build strong partnerships with individuals, families, and organisations who share their vision of helping local communities thrive.
Following the successful delivery of a Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) implementation for Shrewsbury Food Hub, SCF approached Clea Technology for a similar solution. Their goal was to develop a robust and scalable database that could manage both incoming and outgoing funds for a wide range of community-based initiatives.
We began with a comprehensive discovery phase, working closely with the SCF team to understand their workflows, compliance requirements, and future plans for growth. This included mapping donor journeys, grant-making processes, and internal reporting needs.
From this, we developed a prototype within Salesforce NPSP tailored specifically to SCF’s operations. The system was refined iteratively based on user feedback and successfully delivered within the required timeframe.
After a smooth bedding-in period, the system has already started streamlining financial tracking, donor management, and reporting. Building on this success, we’re now extending its capabilities to support outbound marketing activity, allowing SCF to communicate more effectively with their supporters and stakeholders.
This project highlights how a well-implemented CRM can strengthen operational capacity and enhance impact for organisations working at the heart of local communities.
